SCKC are needing more pages this year.. and I am planning on helping out Smiley

If you want to support a wonderful cause, all you have to do is make as many 6x6 pages as you desire. A great way to use up your scraps and help out the kiddies at the same time.

All you have to do is make a 6x6 page, nothing fancy, a page that can be for either a girl or a boy, decorate it a little, leaving room for a photo which will be 5x3.5" and some journalling. Pages need to be sent by 20th Feb for the April camp, but if you are a little late that is fine, the pages you create will go to another camp later in the year.

PM Me for the address on where to send them (once I get it from Julie LOL)

If you havent heard of the Southern Cross Kids Camp and what Julie does to help - here is an excerpt from her blog.

Southern Cross Kids Camp had 35 sadly neglected, often abused and at risk children. My job was to help the children's Buddies create memory books that focused on their holiday week.  These books are incredible memory anchors for these sad little children, most count down the days until the next years camp, for many of these children the happy memories & photos we take and scrap at camp are sometimes their only childhood pictures.

Last year with the incredible generosity of many scrappers we were able to create the best ever memory books, the kids were delighted....See their response here and here from the 2008 camp....It was an enormous task and a huge ask of the 30 odd buddies who were definitely out of their comfort zone when confronted with a table full of scrapbooking supplies......... I hoped that our wonderful scrapping community could get together and we could all contribute to these needy little children by scrapping at home or getting together at one or two Friday Crops and creating the simplest, most basic 6" x 6"  background LO's. The buddies have very limited time to spend on their books as they are with the children 24/7....being such an amazingly important emotional anchor, your assistance would help to ensure each and every child has a memory book worthy of their memories.

Each book holds 20 pages Wink

Thanks for letting us know Karlene.  This is a fabulous cause and I did pages last year and will try to help out again this year.  Can you please PM me the address - I sent them to Melissa Kennedy last year who was collecting them in Victoria - but happy to send them where they're needed. Smiley

I started these back at the beginning of the month.  So far I have made 60, my plan is to do 100!! I am going to try and have them all done by the end of the week.  Kars and Angela I have PM'd you both the address that Julie gave me to send them to.  If anyone else wants the address just let me know, and I will happily forward it on.

Thanks for the address Renee....I'll be sending 20 LOs off later this week.  Unfortunately that's all I've got time for this year.

Well I ended up doing 22 LOs last night so I'll put them in the post to Julie tomorrow.

I kept them simple as recommended and used some older PP stash, basic design templates & 3 different journalling blocks with a mix of colours which made them made it quick & easy to assemble.  I also primarily made the LOs so they could be used with a landscape or portrait photo. I kept thinking I wanted to add more to the LOs....but I restrained myself.

Here's a photo of the LOs.

Great Work Girls !!       Embarrassed     I am so tied up with  (haha) with my Animal Sanctuary stuff have not got the time to participate - but because  I know you are all helping for this cause - you then may understand my cause and the work involved.  There is a lot of animals that get stranded & abused  but the fire damage is tragic - so for me lots of ripped up bandages & slings go a long way.

So I am so sorry I can't participate in this wonderful cause Smiley    God Bless all you selfless people  Cool  Be Proud !!
