Sorry this card is a little late, I actually lost it for a few days and found it in amongst Scarlett's bookcase! No idea why it was there.. LOL! Grin

This month, I thought I would tackle using the new Kaisercraft Duchess range of papers. Definitely not Christmassy at all, but I really love how it turned out!

Here is the card:

Step 1
Cut a piece of Kraft Cardstock 6x8in and fold in half at 4in, so that you have a portrait folding card. Round the corners using a corner rounder. I used the new Corner Chomper - oh my I love it!

Step 2
Cut a piece of Kaisercraft Duchess - Empire paper to 5 3/4 x 2 1/2 in. Ink the edges with Colorbox Chalk Ink - Dark Brown. Set aside. Cut a piece of Kaisercraft Duchess - Heiress paper to 5 3/4 x 1 in. I then used the Fiskars Border Punch - Apron Lace to make a nice decorative edge. Set aside. Cut a piece of Kaisercraft Duchess - Regal paper to 5 3/4 x 1 1/2 in. Round the bottom corners with your corner rounder and ink the edges with the same Dark Brown ink. Cut a 2 1/2 in diameter circle using the Kaisercraft Duchess - Imperial and again ink the edges.

Step 3
Using the Little Yellow Bicycle Christmas Magic Clear Stamps (Which are on special in the store for just $14.88!!) and the same Dark Brown ink, stamp the sentiment Happy Holidays onto the top right corner of your Empire Paper that you set aside. Stamp the flourish onto the Regal paper centering it down the bottom of the sheet.

Step 4
Adhere the Heiress paper to the Regal Paper lining up each other at the top. Attach these to the Empire paper so that they line up on the card with a small border around them. Do not attach to the base card just yet. Take some Green tara Mesh in Dark Brown and wrap it around the patterned papers just overlapping the bordered piece a smidge. Just wrap it around and adhere on the back with some sticky tape Wink You can now attach this to the base card.

Step 5
Adhere the circle to the left side of your card. I have now used Ranger Distress Stickles in Walnut Stain and rubbed it over the petals of a Green Tara flower in Cream with my finger. This gives it such a nice look. Attach this to a Bella Silk Flower - Brown with a glue dot. Take a small amount of the Green tara Mesh in Brown and fold it in half and then staple this to the inside of the Green Tara Flower and adhere it all to the page with another glue dot.  Add some Kaisercraft Pearls to the centre of the flourish and there you have it!

Here are a couple of close ups for you..

Since finishing the others I have been hanging out for the next one.  My heart actually did a little flip flop when I saw the new post.  LOL how sad is that!!

Beautiful, beautiful Card - Karlene - such a versitile design, I can already see it reappearing as many other cards.
Thanks
